<p>Julianna Goldman is an American <a href="/biography/julianna-goldman">television journalist</a> and CBS News correspondent, born on May 2, 1981, in Bethesda, Maryland. She is the <a href="/biography/julianna-goldman">daughter</a> of Barbara and Michael Goldman. Her father is a partner at the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Silverberg, Goldman & Bikoff, while her mother is the founder and president of a human resources agency.</p>

<p>Goldman attended Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, Maryland. Following her early education, she graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, in 2003. She later pursued further studies in government and national security at Johns Hopkins University.</p>

<h2>Career in Journalism</h2>

<p>Goldman's career in journalism took off with her coverage of <a href="/biography/barack-obama">Barack Obama</a>’s 2008 presidential campaign. She reported extensively on his presidency, including his acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, Norway, in 2009, and his first economic summit in China. Her close and early coverage of <a href="/biography/barack-obama">Obama</a> earned her recognition as one of the <a href="/biography/barack-obama">Obama</a> "Originals."</p>

<p>As a correspondent, Goldman has primarily focused on U.S. domestic policy and White House affairs, contributing regularly to CBS News. In October 2010, she was named one of “The Power 30 Under 30,” a list that recognizes the most influential individuals under the age of 30 in Washington, D.C.</p>

<p>Julianna Goldman was first married to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Shuster">journalist</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Shuster">David Shuster</a>, known for his work with MSNBC. They married on May 27, 2007, at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in Washington, D.C. The marriage ended in divorce in 2011; the couple did not have children.</p>

<p>On July 12, 2014, Goldman remarried Michael Julian Gottlieb, a former associate White House counsel under the <a href="/biography/barack-obama">Obama</a> administration. The couple was wed by U.S. Supreme Court <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elena_Kagan">Justice</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elena_Kagan">Elena Kagan</a> at the Pine Creek Cookhouse in Aspen, Colorado.</p>
