Katy (Katharine) Tur is an American author and broadcast journalist who is currently with NBC News. She has also worked for The Weather Channel as a storm chaser and various other news networks as a correspondent or reporter.

In recent years, Tur is known for releasing the Access Hollywood tape that contained <a href="/biography/donald-trump">President</a> <a href="/biography/donald-trump">Trump</a>'s conversation with <a href="/biography/billy-bush">Billy Bush</a> about women. She was thus criticized and harassed by <a href="/biography/donald-trump">Trump</a> supporters, although <a href="/biography/donald-trump">Trump</a>'s <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kellyanne_Conway">campaign manager</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kellyanne_Conway">Kellyanne Conway</a>, defended her.

She received the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism in 2017. She published a book in September of that year titled Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History.

She married <a href="/biography/tony-dokoupil">Tony Dokoupil</a> in 2007.
