Tony Dokoupil is an American author and television journalist who currently works as a CBS news correspondent.
Anthony Dokoupil was born on December 24, 1980, in Miami, Florida. Dokoupil grew up in Maryland and attended George Washington University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing. He also had a minor in communications. Dukoupil went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in American studies from Columbia University.
While attending Columbia, Dukoupil worked part-time as a journalist and writer for Newsweek magazine. Tony Dudoupil wrote a book called The Last Pirate: A Father, His Son, and the Golden Age of Marijuana in 2014. The book detailed how his father’s life of crime allowed for his luxurious childhood that included a family yacht and a luxurious condo. Dukoupil’s other books include The Suicide Epidemic, ICrazy, and Dustoff 73.
Tony Dokoupil married his long-term sweetheart Katy Tur, an NBC news correspondent in 2017. The couple met in the make-up room at MSNBC when Dukoupil worked at the network. The couple married at dusk in the middle of a desert on the 28th of January 2017 after nine months of romance.
On December 13, 2018, Katy Tur announced that they were expecting their first kid together. On April 13, 2019, their delightful child, Theodore Dokoupil was born. Katy Tur is the daughter of two popular journalists named Marika Gerrard and Zoe Tur.
