Katy (Katharine) Tur is an American author and broadcast journalist who is currently with NBC News. She has also worked for The Weather Channel as a storm chaser and various other news networks as a correspondent or reporter.
In recent years, Tur is known for releasing the Access Hollywood tape that contained President Trump's conversation with Billy Bush about women. She was thus criticized and harassed by Trump supporters, although Trump's campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, defended her.
She received the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism in 2017. She published a book in September of that year titled Unbelievable: My Front-Row Seat to the Craziest Campaign in American History.
She married Tony Dokoupil in 2007.
