Kim Raver is known as an American actress. She is most famous for her television roles as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teddy_Altman">Teddy Altman</a> on ABC's medical TV drama Grey's Anatomy.

Background

Kim Raver was born on March 15, 1969 in New York City, New York as <a href="/biography/kim-raver">Kimberly Jayne Raver</a>. As a fine arts graduate of Boston University, Raver keeps on studying theater in New York with the highly respected instructor and tutor, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wynn_Handman">Wynn Handman</a>. She is fluent enough to hold conversations in French and German. German was a language that she took in as a baby from her German-born mother.

Career

Besides her Grey’s Anatomy fame, Raver is also well known in her roles as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimberly_«_Kim_»_Zambrano">Kim Zambrano</a> on Third Watch and Audrey Raines on 24. In the start of her career, Raver paid her bills by acting in commercials that brought her to Venice for a Visa advertisement and in a Jeep for Blade Runner, directed by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ridley_Scott">Ridley Scott</a>.

Her huge break was accompanied by her Broadway debut in the play "Occasion" in which she co-featured with <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laura_Linney">Laura Linney</a> and <a href="/biography/tony-goldwyn">Tony Goldwyn</a>.

Personal Life

Raver has been happily married to Manu Boyer since July 7, 2000. They have two great children together from their marriage.
