Kim Raver is known as an American actress. She is most famous for her television roles as Teddy Altman on ABC's medical TV drama Grey's Anatomy.

Background

Kim Raver was born on March 15, 1969 in New York City, New York as Kimberly Jayne Raver. As a fine arts graduate of Boston University, Raver keeps on studying theater in New York with the highly respected instructor and tutor, Wynn Handman. She is fluent enough to hold conversations in French and German. German was a language that she took in as a baby from her German-born mother.

Career

Besides her Grey’s Anatomy fame, Raver is also well known in her roles as Kim Zambrano on Third Watch and Audrey Raines on 24. In the start of her career, Raver paid her bills by acting in commercials that brought her to Venice for a Visa advertisement and in a Jeep for Blade Runner, directed by Ridley Scott.

Her huge break was accompanied by her Broadway debut in the play "Occasion" in which she co-featured with Laura Linney and Tony Goldwyn.

Personal Life

Raver has been happily married to Manu Boyer since July 7, 2000. They have two great children together from their marriage.
