Following graduation, she commenced flight training at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida, the U.S. Navy’s premier flight school. She served in the United States Navy from 1997 to 2009 as a naval aviator. Her call sign during her time as a pilot was "Flower." She flew the F/A-18 Hornet, a single-seat fighter aircraft, and also fulfilled key responsibilities as a Landing Signal Officer (LSO) and squadron public affairs officer.

Beginning her media career at NBC News in Washington, D.C., she worked from 2010 to 2011 as an editor, writer, and producer, contributing to NBC Nightly News, web segments, and The Today Show.
During her time in journalism, Gabrielle interviewed several high-profile individuals, including President Barack Obama and Afghanistan’s first elected female governor. She covered major stories such as the Chris Dorner manhunt and the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
In 2011, she joined KNSD-TV in San Diego, California, as a military reporter, focusing on defense-related topics and national security issues. She later moved to New York City in 2013 to join Fox News Channel as a journalist and reporter.
More recently, Gabrielle has hosted "The Patriot Report," a web series dedicated to reporting on national security topics. In addition to her role in media, she participates in charitable initiatives and frequently appears as a guest speaker at events related to leadership, security, and public service.
Gabrielle was previously married to Greg Sutton, an engineer affiliated with Johns Hopkins University. The couple eventually divorced. While unconfirmed reports have linked her romantically to a prominent public figure, no official details have been publicly verified.
She stands approximately 6 feet tall. Though her exact salary and net worth remain undisclosed, her extensive career in both military and media suggests a high level of professional achievement and financial success.
