Louise Redknapp was born <a href="/biography/louise-redknapp">Louise Elizabeth Nurding</a> on November 4, 1974, in London, England. When she was eleven, Louise joined the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London. In late 1995, Louise signed a record deal with First Avenue management and EMI Records. <a href="/biography/louise-redknapp">Louise Nurding</a> became professionally known simply as "Louise"; her debut solo single was a ballad entitled "Light of My Life” and reached number eight on the UK charts. By 1998, Louise’s second album had gone Platinum and she was on the cover of magazines such as GQ and Smash Hits.</p>
