Margaret Hoover was born in 1977 and she is known for being an American political commentator, gay rights activist, feminist, media personality, author and political strategist. She has many roles in our life but they all revolve around her political beliefs and her activism work. She is a strong <a href="/biography/margaret-hoover">activist</a> because she just doesn’t attend rallies to scream and shout. She makes more of an impact than the average activist because she expresses her ideas on large platforms. By getting her message out to a large audience, she is able to influence more people. She has the heart and soul of the average activist that would fearlessly put their lives and reputation on the line at rallies but she has the poise of a leader.

Margaret is the <a href="/biography/margaret-hoover">author</a> of the book called American Individualism: How a New Generation of Conservatives Can Save The Republican Party. It was published in 2011 under a company called Crown Forum. Her party identification as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republican_Party_(United_States)">Republican</a> and her advocacy for gay rights and feminism seem to be incompatible. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republican_Party_(United_States)">Republicans</a> are known to be ultra conservative in their beliefs. Early Life

Margaret Hoover was born in the state of Colorado, a state that has switched from being a blue and red state throughout the years. It has recently been a strong Democratic state but there are still large <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republican_Party_(United_States)">Republican</a> supports in Colorado.  Margaret is the <a href="/biography/margaret-hoover">daughter</a> of Jean and Andrew Hoover. Her mother Jean worked as a flight attendant. Her father Andrew Hoover was employed as a mining engineer. Her parents raised her in a middle class upbringing. They both had jobs that brought in enough money to give Margaret a comfortable life. Without having to deal with the stress of finances, Margaret was free to develop her ideas on politics and the world.

Margaret’s entry into the political world was her destiny because she had someone in her family tree that was a famous political figure and leader. She is the <a href="/biography/margaret-hoover">great-granddaughter</a> of the former <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert_Hoover">President</a> of the United States, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert_Hoover">Herbert Hoover</a>. She doesn’t use her famous last name as a crutch. Even though she is related to a former president. She knows that a recognized name can only take her so far. She would rather be praised for her ideas and contributions instead of just her name. Margaret received her primary education at the Graland Country Day School in Denver, Colorado. When she moved on to higher learning, she majored and received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Literature with a minor in Political Science.

She received her degree from Davidson College in 2001. Even though her major was in Spanish Literature instead of political science, she ended up with a career in politics. Bush</a> administration where she was the <a href="/biography/margaret-hoover">associate director</a> for intergovernmental Affairs. She did contributed work for the re-election of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Bush">President</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_W._Bush">Bush</a> in the 2004 presidential campaign in 2004. She was the <a href="/biography/margaret-hoover">Deputy Finance Director</a> for <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudy_Giuliani">Rudy Giuliani</a> when he attempted to become president. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudy_Giuliani">Rudy</a> gave a strong attempt to win but in the end he wasn’t able to garner enough support. He thought he was popular enough from his time as a New York mayor but the rest of the country seem to turn a blind eye to him when he ran for president. Unfortunately, the speeches Margaret wrote for <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudy_Giuliani">Rudy</a> weren’t enough for him to gain any momentum in the presidential race. Margaret was also the <a href="/biography/margaret-hoover">staffer</a> for Capitol Hill under Congressman of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Díaz-Balart">Mario Diaz-Balart</a>. She also worked as the advisor of Deputy Secretary for the department of Homeland Security.

Margaret Hoover got married to a fellow CNN contributor named <a href="/biography/john-avlon">John Avlon</a>. He is a senior <a href="/biography/john-avlon">columnist</a> of Newsweek and also an editor-in-chief for The Daily Beast. They have only one child who was born in 2013. They had their wedding ceremony at the Stanford Memorial Church in the city of Palo Alto. There hasn’t been any rumors about the couple getting a divorce. The couple has been strong and the birth of their child only made their relationship stronger. Being a successful person in the political world, it is believed that Margaret may have a large net worth but none of her finances are available on public record.
