Rodney Carrington was born on October 19, 1968.  He is an <a href="/biography/rodney-carrington">actor</a>, comedian, writer, and singer. He is well known for his work under Capitol Records.  Rodney may be best known for his nine major record label comedy albums he recorded, which sold millions of copies around the world. In addition to his recordings he also starred in the movie ‘Beer for my Horses’ and in the sitcom, ‘Rodney’.  His first album was released in 1998 and according to Pollstar, Rodney has been <a href="/biography/rodney-carrington">one</a> of the top ten highest grossing touring comedians for the last ten years, and among the top 4 or 5 the last several years.

Growing up Rodney was shy as a child but always dreamt of his voice being heard by as many people as possible.  Working towards his dreams Rodney started his career in Texas venues through stage shows and radio.  Being a comedian, he is seldom heard or seen in a serious mood.  He is the type of person who has undeniable charisma while on stage.
