Stephanie Abrams is an American television personality and meteorologist is a native of Miami Florida. Born in October 27, 1978 (age 39). She spent part of her childhood with both parents before they divorced. Her father Dr. Barry Abrams, an infectious disease specialist. She then moved in with her mother and schooled in Forest Hill Community High School where she was a cheerleader. Stephanie studied at the University of Florida situated in Gainesville. She did her major in Geography and took up mathematics as minor graduating with honors. She was elected as Phi Beta Kappa and also belonged to the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority. She later got her second bachelor degree in meteorology from the Tallahassee Florida State University graduating cum laude. She loves involving herself in sports activities including football and tennis. She likes to travel and spends her free time reading and learning. Stephanie used to be married for many years to Mike Bettes, whom she worked with. The duo used to be the hosts of the program Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast with Mike Bettes. The two started dating shortly after working together on screen.

While studying in Florida State University, Abrams took part in on air forecasts on the student run weather and news production FSU Live, which is part of Tallahassee cable channel. She also taught meteorology while working as teacher’s assistant at the university. Her first meteorologist job was at WTXL, an ABC affiliate in Tallahassee, Florida. She joined The Weather Channel from 7 to 10 p.m in the year 2003. In the year 2005, she anchored the new program ‘Weekend View’ which provided in the field reports on weather conditions. In 2009, Abrams co-hosted the show ‘Wake Up with Al’ alongside NBC’s Al Roker weekday mornings from 6-7 AM then joined Mike Bettes from 7-10 AM ET on 'Your Weather Today'.
Stephanie has covered Winter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver among others. She also for a short time was an interim weather anchor for Weekend Today. Abrams is also a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society (AMS) between 2002 and 2003 – a position Abrams held for one year as well as holding the seal of approval from the AMS.
