Sullivan Stapleton is an Australia based actor famous for his roles in Strike Back, SKY, Kill me three times and others. He is currently starring in a crime drama of NBC, Blindspot.

Personal life

Stapleton was born in Melborne. His sister is the famous <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacinta_Stapleton">Jacinta Stapleton</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacinta_Stapleton">actress</a>. He and his sister joined acting agency when he was just six years old. His aunt was the one who took the initiative when she took her kids for registering. Stapleton also has a younger brother Joshua who joined into acting initially but, took a turn and became dedicated in Dance and Music theatre.

He was trained at St. Martin Theater in Australia and studied drama and theatre in Victoria, Australia. When he was shooting for the series Strike Back, he was living in Thailand. One night, after work, he took a motorized rickshaw. He fell off from it and had a serious head injury which pushed him into coma. He recovered and had several months of rest before getting back to his job. Strike Back shooting was halted for six months for him because he had to be in his best of physical strength for shooting many scenes.

His is also famous for his physic and is considered to be the next <a href="/biography/hugh-jackman">Hugh Jackman</a>. People really wonder about his workout schedules. Sullivan was engaged with his <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jo_Beth_Taylor">friend</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jo_Beth_Taylor">Jo Beth Taylor</a>. But, while filing for the sequel of 300, he got into a relationship with Green, a French actress. Later, his engagement was called off. He was then known to have an intimate relationship with his co-star from his movie, Sofia. Currently, he is rumored to be dating <a href="/biography/jaimie-alexander">Jaimie Alexander</a>, his <a href="/biography/jaimie-alexander">co-star</a> of Blindspot. They were seen in public in numerous dates and also seen kissing in public. Career

Sullivan’s acting biography started at a very young age. His aunt registered him with agencies and he received his union card at an age of 9. From 11, he started working in advertisements and made his first appearance in TV movie, Baby bath massacre in 1994. While young, he was invited to act in a short film and the director was pleased with him. He encouraged him to take up acting. He did several works before getting a stance in the acting career. He was a model, animal cage cleaner, camera equipment boy and worked even as assistant carpenter.

In 1998, he was casted as Josh Hughes in a large soap opera, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neighbours">Neighbours</a>. This made him a household name. Later, he took up many notable characters in Australian TV shows. He also starred in many motion pictures like <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/December_Boys">December Boys</a>, The Condemned and others. He was appreciated for his acting in Academy Award nominated film, Animal Kingdom. It was also premiered at Sundance Film Festival of 2010.

With success of Animal Kingdom, this career went across the globe. He made many notable appearances. In 2014, he was nominated for several awards for his performance in Cut Snake. His next movie is The Lake which is about to be released in 2017. His current TV series is Blindspot as Kurt Weller.
