Eiza Gonzalez is a Mexican actress and singer who was born on January 30, 1990, in Caborca, Sonora, Mexico. She is the only daughter of a former Mexican model named Glenda Reyna. Her father Carlos died in a tragic motorcycle accident when she was just twelve years old. Gonzalez attended two private bi-lingual schools called Edron Academy and the American School Foundation in Mexico City. Upon graduating high school, she attended Televisa's acting school, Centro de Educacion Artistica, for two years. She was eventually cast as the lead character in the 2007 teen television show "Lola, Erase Una Vez" which she dropped out of college for in her last year.
Gonzalez went on a national tour to promote the series and perform songs from the show all across Mexico. The teenage drama debuted on February 26, 2007, and launched Gonzalez's career. She is also known for her starring role in "From Dusk till Dawn: The Series" as Santanico Pandemonium. The show aired for two years before ending in 2016. Following her success in Mexican television, Gonzalez got the role of Monica "Darling" Castello in the crime film "Baby Driver" in 2017. She is set to appear next as Nyssiana in the cyberpunk action film "Alita: Battle Angel" in 2019.
