Career
Faye Brookes has featured in theater productions of Grease, Shrek and Legally Blonde. In the middle of 2015, it was declared that the Connor family in the soap opera, Coronation Street was going to be expanded. The family previously appeared in the show in 2006 and have been featured in numerous storylines. Brookes was given a role as lesbian Kate Connor and after her on-screen sibling Aidan Connor showed up played by The X Factor champ Shayne Ward, Brookes initially appeared as Kate in October 2015. She won Best Newcomer for her depiction of Kate in January 2017 at the 22nd National Television Awards.
