George Takei is American actor, author, activist and director. He is well known for the role he had where she was Hikaru Sulu, a helmsman for USS Enterprise in television series in Star Trek. He was a character in the six films of Star Trek such as Star Trek: Voyager episode. His involvement in the social media had brought him to the fame and he has over 9.8 million likes from the time he joined in 2011. He likes to share his photos and the humorous commentary. From his biography, George Takei was born like Hosato Takei in the city of Los Angeles in California and her parents are Japanese-American parents, Takekuma Norman Takei and Fumiko Emily. His parents were born in Yamanashi Prefecture in Japan and worked in the real estate. The father was Anglophile and he named him George after the King George VI and his coronation was after few days of the birth of George in 1937. In 1942, his family was forced to be in a converted horse stable in Santa Anita Park and it was before being sent in Rohwer War Relocation Center because of Internment afterwards, they went to live in Tule Lake War Relocation Center of California.
The family went back to Los Angeles after the World War II. He went to Mount Vernon Junior high School and served like student body president of Los Angeles High School. He was a member of the Boy Scout Troup 379 under Koyasan Buddhist Temple. After graduation from the High School, Takei enrolled to the University of California, Berkeley and he was doing architecture. Afterwards, he went to University of California, Los Angeles and he received the Bachelor of Arts in the theater in 1960 and the Master of Arts in the theater in 1964. He went to Shakespeare Institute of Stratford-Upon-Avon in the England and in Sophia University of Tokyo in Japan. While in Hollywood, he did the acting studies in Desilu Workshop.
In the year 2005, George Takei said that he is a gay through Frontier and that he had been in the relationship with Brad Altman for over 18 years. Brad Takei marriage was in 2008 and Nichelle Nichols was the matron of Honor while Walter Koenigs was best man. After being married, they appeared on The Newlywed Game TV shows being the first gay couple to be on the show and they won.
