He grew up in a supportive family of American nationality and spent most of his childhood in Wayne, New Jersey. He attended Wayne Hills High School, where his athletic talents quickly caught the attention of coaches. Excelling in multiple sports, Olsen was particularly recognized for his football capabilities and earned a spot on the school's football team.
