Gerri Willis began her career as senior financial correspondent for the magazine Smart Money. She later joined CNN as personal finance editor. She hosted a half an hour show on CNN titled ‘Your Bottom Line’. The show targeted at solutions for saving the money of Americans and also dealt with the influence of the economy on personal finance. She joined Fox Business Network in the year 2010. Fox Business hired her for her expertise in finance, business acumen, and vast broadcasting experience. She appears on many shows all across the network, in addition to hosting the show ‘The Willis Report’. The ‘Cashin’ In’ show, which is a segment that appears on the show ‘Cost of Freedom’ and airs on Saturday Morning business feature on Fox News Channel also has Willis as the host.

Other Interests

Willis is also an accomplished author. She has written two books on business titled ‘Home Rich: Increasing the Value of the Biggest Investment of Your Life’ published in the year 2008 and ‘The Smart Money Guide to Real Estate Investing’ published in the year 2003. She is an avid golf fan during her spare time. She loves watching Bubba Watson and Tiger woods. Besides playing golf, Willis also loves to go hiking, kayaking, and touring historical homes in the Hartsdale neighborhood. She is also a fan of George Stephanopoulos, the GMA anchor.

Gerri Willis has won the Excellence in Retirement Savings Reporting award in the year 2001. The award is sponsored jointly by the Investment Company Institute’s Education Foundation and the American University School of Communication.  She loves to cook new recipes and does not believe that television correspondents should exist on just Mineral water and lettuce leaves. Being a Southerner, she loves to eat rich Southern food including baked goodies and cakes besides trying out new and exotic recipes.
