Gina Gershon

American actress, writer and musician Gina L. Gershon was born on June 10, 1962 in Los Angeles, USA in the large family. Her father Stan Gershon was a businessman, her mother Mickey Gershon was a designer and they both were Jewish. She was the youngest child in the family, Gina had an older sister Tracy Gershon and a brother Dan Gershon.

Gershon’s first school was Collier Street Elementary School. She also attended Woodland Hills Academy. After elementary school, she entered to Beverly Hills High School where she has studied until 1980. That same year she enrolled to Emerson College in Boston and some time later she entered to New York University.

Gina Gershon started her career as an actress when she was just 14 years old. When she was 22, she appeared in the music video "Hello Again" of the rock band The Cars. Her first role in film industry was in a romantic comedy-drama Pretty in Pink (1986). The following year she played in the film Sweet Revenge. In 1988, she had more interesting roles in well-known comedy-drama Cocktail with Tom Cruise in the main role and Red Heat with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

From 1988 to 1995, she had no good roles, but she frequently appeared in minor roles in films Suffering Bastards (1989), Voodoo Dawn (1990), Out for Justice (1991), City of Hope (1991), The Player (1992). Gina also had many episodic roles in TV shows and series, including The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd (1989), Monsters (1989), Cop Rock (1990), Miss Rose White (1992), Melrose Place (1993), The Untouchables (1994) and many other.

In 1995, she got the main role in martial arts film Best of the Best 3: No Turning Back. The same year Carolco Pictures released erotic drama Showgirls, where Gina Gershon played a bisexual. After this role, well-known magazine Maxim put her on #23 in Hot 100 Women. Hover, this role also brought to Gina a nomination on Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actress.

Next couple of years were very successful for Gina. In 1996, she got the main role in crime thriller Bound, where she played an ex-con Corky. For that role, she was nominated on two awards: Saturn Award for Best Actress and MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss. The following year she played in science-fiction film Face/Off with such monsters of film industry like John Travolta and Nicolas Cage. The film got almost 250 million dollars box office and made Gina Gershon a celebrity.

Now Gina has a net worth about four million dollars, but according to some other sources, her fortune reaches 250 million dollars with yearly income about 35 million dollars.

She has not been married in her life. As for her partners, there were rumors about her relationships with Bill Clinton, but Gina officially denied that information. She hides her private life away from the press, but in 2014 she confirmed, that she have a relationship with football goalkeeper and the founder of DEDON Robert "Bobby" Dekeyser. She did not mention any plans about their marriage or kids.
