Gordon Ramsay

Born on November 8, 1966 to father Gordon James Senior and mother Helen in Johnstone situated in Renfrewshire, Scotland, Gordon Ramsay spent most of his childhood days growing up with his three siblings in Stratford-upon-Avon situated in England. He has an older sister named Dianne and a younger sister Yvonne. He is also the older brother of Ronnie. Ramsay moved out of his house at the age of 16, because of the father intolerant abusive behavior. He shifted to Banbury and rented a flat.

He started his career by playing association football or soccer and started playing with the Warwickshire in under-14 football category. At the age of 15, he was picked by the Scottish Premier League Glasgow Rangers. His football career ended with a knee-injury.

After the end of his football career in disappointment, he started thinking seriously about a career as a chef. He joined the North Oxfordshire Technical College and started studying hotel management. After his graduation in 1987s, he started working at the Wroxton House Hotel as a commis chef. He then shifted to London and worked in many restaurants. He then started working at Harveys under Chef Marco Pierre White. After working under Chef White for some time, he decided to study French cuisine. Upon being convinced by White he started working under Chef Albert Roux at the restaurant Le Gavroche. He then started working with Roux at Hotel Diva. After this, he shifted to Paris and started working with Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy. Along with this, he started his training in France and after working hard for three years, he took some time-off and worked as a chef on a private yacht in Bermuda.

After working for a private yacht, he came back to London in the year 1993. Right after his return, he started working as the head chef at La Tante Claire situated in Chelsea. He was soon offered the position of head chef and 10% share in the Rossmore by Chef White. He started working as the head chef of the restaurant Aubergine and the restaurant went on to receive its first Michelin Star within some months of its opening. The restaurant won its second Michelin Star soon after in the year 1997. Shortly thereafter, Ramsay decided to leave the restaurant to pursue his dream of opening his own restaurant and also due to some conflict with the owners. In the year 1998, He opened his restaurant named Restaurant Gordon Ramsey in Chelsea. The restaurant soon became very famous and even received its third Michelin Star in the year 2001. He has now successfully established his chain of restaurants all over the world which include the places like New York City, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Florida, Ireland, Dubai and Glasgow.

He has appeared in many cooking competition shows which includes Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, Hell’s Kitchen, MasterChef, The F Word, etc. His recipes are very famous and especially for non-vegetarian food like meat, steak, etc. There are various memes available on the internet which mocks his critical nature on his shows. He is married to Cayetana Elizabeth Hutcheson. Ramsay and his wife are proud parents of four children. According to his biography, his net worth is $60 Million.
