She played Velma Dinkley in the Scooby-Doo The Mystery Beings and in the Curse of the Lake Monster. She was Stella Yamada in Lemonade Mouth of Disney Channel. Her mother was born in Canada and he is of the Japanese Ancestry while her father was born in the city of Ohio and has Irish and English Ancestry. She started to act when she was still young when she started to appear in the national commercials for some companies like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Slim Jim and GM OnStar. She insisted to take the drum lesson when she was at the age of 6 and she started to write the drum charts of new releases and was selling them to the local music store when she was 11. She was President for her middle school and for her high school freshman classes. She was vice-president in the senior year and she got appointed as Commissioner of Entertainment in the sophomore year and also the Commissioner of the Pep Rallies in the junior year.
She founded and also choreographed The Agoura High Step Team and it was faculty-approved to be the school club under Hayley Kiyoko’s direction. This team became 3rd in the Nationals competition of the year 2005. After the graduation, she got accepted in Clive Davis School for Recorded Music in New York University, at first she deferred but afterwards, she declined because of many career opportunities.
