Imani Duckett

Imani Duckett is the daughter of Terrence Duckett and Jasmine Guy. She was born in 1999. She is the only child of her parents and her age at the moment is 17. Her father is Terrance Duckett. He is relatively unknown as there is no adequate information about him. Nevertheless, he was married to Jasmine Guy for some Years before they went their separate ways. Her Mother

Her mother is an American director, actress, dancer, and singer. She was born on March 10, 1962. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Her father was an African-American while her mother was a white American. Her father, Reverend William Guy, was a pastor at Friendship Baptist Church, Atlanta. He was also an instructor in a college where he was instructing in philosophy and religion. Jasmine’s mother was Jaye Rudolph. She was a high-school teacher. Jasmine relocated to New York City and attended the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center where she studied dance.

She started her acting career as a dancer in a series, Fame. She appeared in seven episodes of this TV series. When she changed her environment and moved to California, she acted one of the girlfriends of Will Smith in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Jasmine appeared in many television series and shows in 1992. Some of these are Stompin at the Savoy, Alex Haley’s Queen, and some other TV series.

As a very versatile actress, she has acted in a lot of movies and stage plays. Her numerous works are School Daze, Harlem’s Night and the animated movie, Cats Don’t Dance. Jasmine acted in another movie 2011. The movie was titled October Baby.

Her stage plays are Chicago, Grease, I dream. She had her directorial debut in The Colored Museum. When she appeared on the Cosby Show, she was portrayed as a funny belle. Due to her performances in the show, NAACP awarded her for six consecutive years.

To complete her versatility, she was into music. She released her debut album in 1990. The self-titled music made her become a household name in the United States. After that, she released Try me, Another Like My Lover, and Just Want to Hold you.

Little people knew that Jasmine could write. She wrote the biography of Afeni Shakur. Afeni is a motivational speaker and the mother of Tupac Shakur, a rapper who was killed in cold blood a couple of years ago. Jasmine has traveled throughout the United States as a motivational speaker.

For all the time and effort she has invested in her career, she has never been disappointed financially. Jasmine is reported to have a net worth of over $2 million although her annual salary is unknown.

Personal life

She now lives with her mother her parents filed for divorce due to irreconcilable differences. Although her mother has tried to have autonomous custody of her, her father has put up a good fight. He is not in a hurry to lose his daughter as he suggested that both of them should have joint custody of her.
