Cricket Career Beginnings

Imran began his professional cricket career in Pakistan. After limited success domestically, he sought better opportunities by moving first to England and then to South Africa. During his time in England, he notably captained a team to victory in the Friends Provident Trophy in 2009. However, he was released from the team in 2010.

International Debut and Rise with South Africa

Imran secured a place in the South African national cricket team, making his international debut in 2011. He was selected for the 2011 Cricket World Cup, with his first match played against the West Indies in Delhi. He made an impactful debut by bowling 10 overs, claiming 4 wickets, and conceding only 41 runs.
