Who is Jackie Stallone?

Jackie Stallone is an American astrologer and promoter of women’s wrestling who is perhaps best known as being the mother of actor Sylvester Stallone, who first gained international fame for his starring role in the 1976 hit movie, Rocky. Jacqueline Frances Stallone was born on November 29, 1921, in Washington, D.C.; her father was a lawyer. Stallone’s family lived with the body builder Charles Atlas, who served as the family’s personal trainer. Jackie Stallone was the first woman to have a daily exercise show in Washington and later opened a gym, Barbella’s, which catered only to women. When she was younger, Stallone worked as a trapeze artist in a circus, and later performed as a chorus girl in a nightclub. Jackie Stallone was married to Frankie Stallone from 1945 until 1957; the couple had three children. The couple appeared on The Howard Stern Show in 1992 and had a heated argument where Jackie accused her husband of being bad in bed and of wanting her to get an abortion.
