Jacqueline Obradors, also known as Jackie, was born Jacqueline Danell Obradors on October 6, 1966, in the San Fernando Valley, California, United States. She is the daughter of Argentine immigrants Albert Obradors, an office cleaning business owner, and Angie Obradors, a church worker. Jacqueline is an only child and holds American nationality with Argentine heritage.
From a young age, Jacqueline had a passion for dance and performance. She attended high school in California and later joined her college drama team. It wasn't until the age of 19 that she participated in her first stage performance. Before pursuing acting full-time, she worked as a cashier at Hughes Market (now Ralphs) in Canoga Park, California.
Jacqueline began her on-screen acting career in 1992 with a guest appearance on the television series "Parker Lewis Can't Lose." Her talent soon led to roles in other television shows including "Diagnosis Murder," "Murder, She Wrote," "George Lopez," "Franklin & Bash," and "The Glades."
Her film debut was in “Red Sun Rising” (1994), followed by a significant role in the 1998 adventure film “Six Days, Seven Nights,” which earned her a Blockbuster Entertainment Award nomination. She gained broader recognition for her performance as Carmen Naranjo in “Tortilla Soup” (2001).
