Early life

James Spader is an American by birth and he was born in 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts. His father and mother were teachers and they tried their level best to improve his academic skills. His schooling started at The Pike School and his mother had worked as a teacher there. He later got shifted to The Brooks School. He never concentrated on education and remained as a dull student throughout his academic career. He stopped education after completing the tenth standard and followed his dream of becoming an actor.

Personal life

He doesn’t want to popularize his personal life and not usually comment on gossips, news articles about him. He met Victoria who is a yoga instructor and their friendship turned into love. They got married in 1987 and blessed with two sons. Both Spader and his wife were in good relationship till 2005. In 2005, Spader filed for divorce and the couple parted their ways off. He has been dating Leslie Stefanson since 2002 and they have a son, Nathaneal Spader.

Professional career

Though he is good looking, his acting journey was not a cake walk and he struggled hard and did several odds jobs for survival. Though his acting journey had started before 1980’s, only in the mid 1980’s, his career graph took off and after 1990, audience started to recognize him. The way he had balanced his TV as well as film career is a nice example for youngsters who are struggling hard to balance their professional career. The role played by him in the movie Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989) is considered to be turning point of his career and helped him in achieving the stardom.

He played the Ultron role in the recently released Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and received positive response from audience. He received the first Emmy award for playing Alan Shore character in The Practice. He had continued the same character in the Boston Series also and received the prestigious Emmy Award twice. He also received Golden Globe Award and Peabody Award in his acting career.
