Jeffrey Wright was born on December 7, 1965 in Washington, D.C. Wright's mom was a legal expert who worked as a customs attorney. Shockingly for Wright, he lost his father when he was only a child, and therefore, his mother was entrusted with the duty of raising him on her own.
Jeffrey Wright went to a private academy for young men, St. Albans School and later a private arts liberal school, Amherst College. He graduated with a degree in political theory.
