Co-host of ESPN's weekday statistics based sports discussion program "His & hers", Jemele Juanita Hill was a classic tomboy while growing up. She was not shy to play sports with the boys in her neighborhood.

Born on December 21, 1975, in Detroit Michigan, U.S.A, Jemele Hill is a perfect characterization of all the human emotions: happy, sad, afraid/surprised, and angry/disgusted. Her tough growing up days may have made her a strong woman who can stand on what she feels.

Anyway, she experienced many pullbacks while growing up. Her parents had drug addiction issues. Moreover, they were extremely poor. The family lived on food stamps. Plus, the family could only sustain because her mother would do household jobs (cleaning, washing, etc) at other people home.  In addition to that, let's not even talk about inner-city problems.

Growing up in  a rough part of Detroit, Jemele  sill made it to the Michigan State University. Her closed ones had never imagined that she will get into such prestigious university.

However, the things that made difference in her tough growing up days were her love for sports and writing including poverty.  

Well, according to her, every cloud has a silver lining. You wouldn't believe but her poverty helped her. At that time in Detroit when she was in high school, there was this sort of need and the city wide campaign to have more college bound students from Detroit. The program had three stipulations which if a student fulfilled, the program would play for the student tuition and fees in any college in Michigan, or they would pay for a portion of the student cost if the subject leaves the state.

Amazingly, she met all the stipulations (the student has to maintain 3.0 all time in high school, the student had to have 90 percent of attendance and the student had to score at least 19 on the ACT) and got enrolled in the university to study journalism.

If you didn't know, her love for writing and reading was also derived by her young day's struggles. Because she was going through a tough upbringing, she started making her own reality by writing. She says people can create their own reality via writing if they don't like the world they are living in. Since an early age Jemele started writing poems, stories, mii-novels and other interesting information, and making journals of them. Later, all of her writing efforts translated into her working for high-school newspaper.

And, her love for reading was developed by a similar stance. Jemele would accompany her mother to others house since the poor mother couldn't afford a babysitter.  And, while her mother would work, she would read magazines and other materials in the sitting room of the house her mother is working.  

Before joining ESPN  and after graduation, she built an amazing resume as general assignment writer for the Raleigh News & Observer (her first official job), sports writer for Detroit Free Press (1999 to 2005, covered Michigan State Football and Basketball, and the 2004 Olympics and the NBA playoffs ), columnist for the Orlando Senitinel (2005 to 2006).

Jemele started working for ESPN in 2006. His and Hers is a rebranded discussion show (based on statistics) of the previous purely statistic show Numbers Never Lie. Jemele Hall was made a co-host of the show in 2013 in an attempt to make the program more discussion based then previous "hard analytics. Moreover, she also makes appearances every now and then on various ESPN shows and as an occasional sideline reporter on Friday's Night. Nevertheless, the 2007 McKenzie Cup winner and 2007 Best American Sports Writing honored writer also co-hosts ESPN Audio podcast HIS&hers and also writes for ESPN.co,'s Page 2 as a columnist.  

Now moving on to her physical configuration, the award winning journalist is not a tall woman with the speculated height of 5 feet and 3.5 inches. However, the U.S. national of black ethnicity is surely someone who has high physical sex appeal, thanks to her fit athletic-hourglass shape body (probably or maybe banana, but she has curves), shapely and meaty legs and thighs, big breasts, winsome face, magnetic eyes and beautiful black hair. Anyway, one can compare her past and present picture and arrive to the conclusion that she has lost a visible amount of weight sometime in the past.  

Personality wise, she is an outspoken, expressive and sharp-tongue person.

Talking about her relationship status, she is allegedly dating Idris Elba, a famous English actor, musician and DJ.She has mentioned him in twitter a couple of times. The happy ending is Jemele is in good terms with her father. She says when you are young you are unable to find older people perspective. She is happy that his father has been sober for near to three decades now. She is happy that she was mature enough to mend things with her father in her early 20's. She likes to spend time with her father to talk about sports. Her father played hockey till the age of 18, but later got into addiction as he couldn't break out into hockey, a sport which shine was declining in the city then. She is happy that sports have mended their relationship. She used to aks question to her father since her early days.

Anyway, she is also thankful to her mother who went through lots of struggle to look after the family. Indeed, her mother as well had past drug issues, and she was also a victim of sexual abuse. Despite that, the loving worked very hard to make Jemele happy and fulfill her needs.

Nevertheless, she is an avid fan of Michigan Spartans. She strongly supports the team when she is on-screen as well.

Last but not the least, her controversies include  "criticizing Boston Celtics citing Hitler and Gorbachev during the 2008 NBA playoffs", "comparing University of Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball coach to Charles mason in 2009", "accusing baseball player Sammy Sosa of being racist  for using skin cream in an effort to hide is vitiligo ", and many more.  She is often accused for taking controversial stances to artificially inflate ESPN page hits. Just recently, she created lots of buzz when she totally humiliated Wolverines fans as Spartan won them neatly. She also criticized Wolverine fans for their previous un-humble activities against Michigan.
