Jessica Gomes is an Australian model who was born on September 25, 1984, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia to her parents Jenny and Joe Games. She spent her early years in Perth with her two older sisters and an older brother. At age 13, Gomes attended modeling classes at Linda-Ann Model Academy in the Perth suburb of Midland. In 2004, Gomes moved to New York City where she was signed with IMG Models.
Gomes has also been featured in a number of South Korean advertising campaigns such as the 2007 ads for the Hyundai Sonata. Her popularity in South Korea helped lead to her success and she has since appeared in magazines such as Vogue, Teen Vogue, Glamour, American Glamour, and Victoria's Secret. Gomes also modeled for DKNY Jeans, Garnier, Urban Outfitters and Levi's. Her enormous success in the modeling industry landed her a spot in the American publication Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition ever year from 2008 to 2015. Gomes also made her television debut early on in 1997 when she appeared as an extra in the Australian miniseries "The Adventures of the Bush Patrol". Gomes has not married but she did share a date with actor and friend Heath Ledger in New York the day before he died.
