Jessica McNamee is an Australian actress who was born on June 17, 1986, in Syndey, Australia. McNamee has a single sibling, an older sister named Penny McNamee who is an actress also. McNamee got her start in the acting business playing roles for the Seven Network television series "Home and Away" and "Packed to the Rafters". In the Seven Network series "Packed to the Rafters", McNamee played Sammy who was a "good girl" but she wanted to shake the stereotype the role had given her. During breaks in production for the show, McNamee began taking new roles including a starring role in the horror film "The Loved Ones" which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2009. She went on to star as a patrol officer named Theresa Kelly in the USA Network series "Sirens" from 2014 to 2015.

She also expanded her acting career from the television business into the film business with her debut role in the 2012 film "The Vow". McNamee also appeared in the crime-thriller "Locusts". In 2017, McNamee appeared as a tennis player named Margaret Court in "Battle of the Sexes". Most recently, McNamee appeared alongside Jason Statham as the former wife Lori of Statham's character Megalodon hunter Jonas Taylor in 2018's "The Meg".
