Because of the Lange episode, as well as the general strain of booking guests, Buck was relieved when the show was dropped. He also has hosted a weekly sports news show, Goin' Deep, for Fox Sports Net cable in the late 1990s, called horse racing, and professional bass fishing events early in his Fox career.
