Kate Siegel is an American actress and screenwriter, born on August 9, 1982, in Silver Spring, Maryland. She graduated from Syracuse University, where she studied drama, before launching her acting career.
Siegel made her film debut with a role in the 2006 psychological horror film The Curse of the Black Dahlia, which was released on January 23, 2007. She then appeared in Hacia La Oscuridad (“Towards Darkness”), which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 28, 2007.
Following these roles, she acted alongside Ruby Dee and Chelsea Handler in the independent drama Steam, and featured in the short film Knocked, directed by Ted Collins. These early performances helped establish her presence in indie and genre films.
In 2009, Siegel made her television debut playing Cheryl in an episode of Ghost Whisperer. She appeared in several crime and drama series in the following years, including a role as Rachel Hollander in the long-running CBS show Numb3rs, and guest appearances on Castle and the thriller film Wedding Day.
