Personal Life

Kathryn was adopted by her current family when she was only 1 week old. Her real father belonged to Afro-Caribbean community while her mother was white. Telling about her past, Kathryn said that she was bullied during the age of 3 to 11 years. But now when she take a look at those people who bullied her, only one thing comes to her mind that ‘Success is sweet’. She has worked in a Salad Factory when young. The job was found by her mother and according to Kathryn this was the worst job she ever took.

From her very childhood she was a very big fan of books especially authored by Peter Carey and Jeanette Winterson. She augmented her likings as ‘illywhacker’, The Little Vampire and Ramona.

In October 1, 2009 she attended ‘The inspiration award for women’. The ceremony took place at Cadogan Hall which is in London, England. She also lives in London currently.

Career Experience

Kathryn has been working as an actress since 1999 when she was offered a role as Elain in a Television Series ‘The Vice’. The same year she also appeared in TV drams like ‘People Like Us’ and ‘Holby City’. She has to wait two years before she was approached for the role that made her a huge TV star. It was a British sitcom called ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ and she was casted as Louise Brooks, who was hot and naive but at the same time desperately looking for a perfect man. Kathryn worked in this series from 2001-09 for eight seasons.

 Later In 2006, she played a part in a British sci-fi series ‘Doctor Who’ as Bliss. Series circled around an alien time traveler ‘The Doctor’ and the machine he used for time travelling was called tardis. The same year brought some more happiness for Kathryn as critics liked her role in the drama series ‘Tripping Over’. Her performance in the movie St Trinian’s gained a lot of praise. She played the character of Taylor and the movie was released on 2007 in England and 2009 in USA.

Lately she has not been in many serials or movies and after 2010 appeared in a sitcom ‘Benidorm’. After this she helped as a stage hand in the shooting of Biographical Comedy-drama movie ‘One Chance’. Her recent work can be seen in a British comedy series ‘Horrible Histories’. She played the role of Cleopatra in one of the episodes of this series.
