Education

Part of her education, Keeley went to Humberston School. Later she studied media course at Franklin Sixth Form College in Grimsby. Afterwards she attended De Montfort University in Leicester. After finishing college she came back to Grimsby in order to do a post-graduate Skillset Diploma. She studied broadcast journalism at Grimsby Institute of Further & Higher Education in conjunction with East Coast Media.

Her career started at the young age of 14 when she used to present for former Channel 7 Television (currently Estuary TV). It is a local cable TV with the center in Immingham. She used to do some freelancing during her studies. She was a freelancer for BBC Yorkshire and Lincolnshire in 2005. In 2006 she joined Propeller TV, a local television.

She studied broadcast meteorology with the Met Office and the BBC Weather Centre. This was quite an opportunity for her, because it really helped her in her future career. She started to present weather forecast for the BBC’s regional TV. She was also in charge for weather forecast for the local radio services in Yorkshire and North Midlands, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire and North East and Cumbria regions.

Meanwhile, Keeley Donovan was also a reporter for the regional current affairs magazine – Inside Out and from time to time she used to be a newsreader for the Leeds edition of BBC Look North. Starting with September 2015, she co-presented the daytime factual show, Break-in Britain. This show was a BBC Cymru Wales production.

Keeley’s Donovan hobbies

Her interest is the weather forecast but she has also many other hobbies. One of the things she loves is traveling. Traveling is an ideal way of knowing new people and share adventures. Along with weather forecasts she has a big interest in football. As mention sport is running through her veins. Her father won the European Cup and played for Aston Villa.

She admits that she is a cat lady. She loves cats and she even possesses one. The cat’s name is Allan and is the family’s spoiled. She says that sometimes her cat gets more attention than any other member of the family.

Personal Life

When it comes down to relationships, Keeley shows us her smile and replies that she does not have comments on that. This is probably because she knows that her personal life must not become subject for the press. Celebrities are often questioned about their relationships or other intimate information. She thinks that certain things must remain hidden from the public. This kind of information is irrelevant for her career and should not concern anybody. She also stated that when time right time will come, she will let her fans know more about her. For the moment she wants to concentrate on her career.

Rumors say that she obtained some of her jobs because of her looks. It was also stated that the main goal was to attract more male audience. Keeley felt offended by this remark and replied that she is more than a weather girl. Because most of the weather forecasters are just some skinny good-looking girls, people think that they are all the same. She replied that she is more than meets the eye, that she is a trained journalist. This was the time when she confirmed that she is living with somebody but she did not give the name of her boyfriend.

She was clearly disturbed by these assumptions. Keeley soon realized that no matter what she did, people will always find a way to come up with rumors and bad things about her. It is part of the downside of being a celebrity. She claimed that she does not need fame, nor to be treated special just because people see her on the TV. She doesn’t like the fact that just because she is on TV people think that they can violate her intimacy. People don’t realize that is rude and offending, especially when the person in cause explicitly asked for privacy. She is aware that people can look into many details of her life but she is happy that people will be disappointed. She provides low information about her private life. This is one of the reasons not even her net worth is not revealed.

Keeley Donovan considers herself a normal person that likes any other things that a normal person likes. As said before she loves traveling. Even though she is on holiday, most of the time she cannot help herself and makes notes on every place she visits. She makes short stories of the people she meets. She says that when you get to talk to people from other countries about their lives, you can really get to know a country. You find much more about their culture, beliefs or ideals than you can find in a museum. She is fascinated by the way people think in other places and sometimes she thinks that it will be better that normal people’s stories will be brought to the world’s attention.

Journalism has always been Keeley’s hobby and favorite thing to do. She does not recall of wanting to be something else when she was little. She used to “perform” daily in front of her parents – presenting the “news” and interesting things she discovered during the day. Her parents are very proud of her, and supported her whenever she needed them. Keeley thinks that her parents did everything for her, in order to pursue the career she wanted. They never stopped believing her and they stood by her whenever times where rough.
