Keiynan Lonsdale is an Australian singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor; he is perhaps best known for his role as Oliver Lloyd on the Australian dramatic television series Dance Academy. Keiynan Lonsdale was born on December 19, 1991, in Sydney, Australia, and is one of twelve children in a blended family. Lonsdale’s first acting job, a bit part involving dancing, was in 2007 in the film Razzle Dazzle: A Journey into Dance. Lonsdale became a cast member on Dance Academy in 2012 and his character became a regular in the third season of the show. Lonsdale served as a VJ on MTV for over two years and released his first single, One and Only, on iTunes in 2014.
He has since released three music videos, Higher (2015), Good Life (2017), and Preach (2018). His songs include Lay It on Me and Good Life in 2017, and Kiss the Boy and Preach in 2018. Lonsdale has seven film credits including performances in Dance Academy: The Movie, Like, Share, Follow, and Love, Simon. In 2017, Lonsdale came out as being attracted to people regardless of their sexuality and although it was initially reported that he was pansexual, he prefers not to label his sexuality. Most recently, Lonsdale served as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 4.
