Kerry Bishé was born on May 1, 1984, in New Zealand. Although born abroad, she is an American actress who later moved to the United States. She attended Montclair Kimberley Academy, where her father was a social studies teacher. Bishé went on to study at Northwestern University, where she developed her foundation in acting.
Bishé is best known for her performance as Donna Clark in the critically acclaimed drama series Halt and Catch Fire. She also gained recognition for her lead role as Dr. Lucy Bennett in the final season of the medical sitcom Scrubs, which aired on ABC in 2009 before being canceled in 2010.
In 2012, she co-starred with Ben Affleck in the Academy Award-winning film Argo, portraying Kathy Stafford. Her other notable film credits include roles in Red State, Max Rose, and The Fitzgerald Family Christmas.
Outside of mainstream projects, Bishé has appeared in stage productions such as Romeo and Juliet (2004), Eugene O’Neill’s The Hairy Ape (2006), and George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion.
She also took on roles in independent and low-budget films, including The Half-Life of Mason Lake (2007). Other early work includes appearances in The Understudy, Motherhood, Nice Guy Johnny, and Meskada.
