Kevin Clifton short biography

Kevin Clifton is an English professional dancer and choreographer who was born on October 13, 1982, in Waltham, United Kingdom. From an early age, Clifton began training in ballroom and Latin dancing in his hometown of Waltham, near Grimsby. Clifton was instructed by his parents who were former World Champions Keith and Judy Clifton. Clifton was competing internationally as a child with his sister Joanne as his partner. When the brother and sister duo split up, Clifton chose a different partner and focused on Latin as his primary dance style so he would not have to compete with his sister. He was very talented early on and was a Youth World Number 1 and four-time British Latin Champion. Clifton also won International Open titles in Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Japan, France, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland, and Belgium. He made his musical theatre debut in 2010 in "Dirty Dancing The Musical" which was performed at the Aldwych Theatre in London. He also partnered with Charlie Bruce, the winner of BBC1's dance competition series "So You Think You Can Dance".
