Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle is a prominent media personality known for her work on the Fox News Channel. She has served as a co-host on major Fox programs including The Five and Outnumbered, and previously hosted the weekend show The Lineup. Early Life and Education

Kimberly Guilfoyle was born on March 9, 1969, in San Francisco, California, to an Irish father and a Puerto Rican mother. She graduated from Mercy High School in San Francisco. Her mother, Mercedes, passed away from leukemia when Kimberly was just eleven years old. Following her mother’s death, Kimberly and her brother were raised by their father, Anthony “Tony” Guilfoyle, an immigrant from Ireland who later became a real estate investor and political advisor to then-Mayor Gavin Newsom.

Guilfoyle earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis. She later obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While in law school, she interned at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. She also studied at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, where she conducted research and published work on international children’s rights.

Legal Career and Prosecutorial Work

After completing her law degree, Guilfoyle began her legal career as a prosecutor in San Francisco. In 1996, after the newly elected District Attorney Terence Hallinan dismissed several prosecutors, including Guilfoyle, she accepted a position as Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles. There, she served for over four years, specializing in cases involving domestic violence, sexual assault, narcotics, and homicide. Her performance was recognized with several awards, including “Prosecutor of the Month.”

In 2000, she returned to San Francisco when Hallinan rehired her as an Assistant District Attorney. Guilfoyle remained in this role until 2004, when she transitioned into a television career in New York City. She became the host of the legal analysis program Both Sides on Court TV and worked as a legal analyst for various media outlets.

Fox News and Media Career

In 2006, Guilfoyle joined Fox News Channel as a host of The Lineup. Although the show was later canceled, she continued to contribute regularly to the network. Her reporting and legal commentary earned her a steady presence on Fox, eventually leading to co-hosting roles on the high-profile programs The Five and Outnumbered.

In addition to broadcasting, she became a member of the La Raza Lawyers Association in 2008. Known for her advocacy work, she also became recognized as a firm political commentator and media figure.
