Kimbella Vanderhee

Kim Vanderhee was born on October 13th, 1983 in Miami, Florida. Kim is most known for role in the reality TV show, Love & Hip Hop. She also has her own line of watches called “Bella”, which she heavily promotes on social media.

Upbringing

She is often referred to as Kimbella, Kimberly or simply Kim. According to some sources, her parents were not exactly ideal role models. Her father was abusive and her mother was mostly the victim. Tough backgrounds lead to tough people, so Kim tried to be forgiving of her parents she got older. Kim is mixed race because her father is African-American and her mother is a Caucasian. One of her sisters is also in the entertainment industry and is a DJ called Lil Kim.

Education

Kim has a Master’s Degree which may be a shock to many of her fans. A lot of people know the beauty from her model and television career so they assume that she is not very bright.

She went to college and went for a Master’s degree while working at the same time. She spent many years in the pharmacy industry but people question her on her previous employment. She doesn’t mind the questions though because she understands what comes at the cost of fame.

When asked why she left her professional career to continue as a model she said that she always liked cameras and felt really comfortable behind them. She also enjoys the financial part of being an entertainer because it allows her to make much more money than her previous job.

Coming from a tough background, modeling and being in TV star was a huge accomplishment for her.

Career Experience

She began modeling in 2003 in the city of Miami. She got her first TV role as a dancer on the series The Roof in 2004. She liked the fact that she was playing herself and not a fictional character. In her modeling career, she was very successful because of her striking beauty. She earned the privilege of appearing on the cover of Black Men’s magazines and some other publications because of her pretty African looks.

Her career really took off when she was included in the second season of the American reality show Love & Hip-Hop: New York on VH1 in 2001. She was introduced as the girlfriend of Juelz Santana who is a famous rapper.

The series is still on air and she is one of most popular stars. She was featured a lot in seasons 3 and 5. In season 7, she returned as a main member of the cast.

TV Show Scandal

One of the biggest scandals on the series Love & Hip-Hop: New York that involved Kim was during season 7 when she engaged in a physical fight with two other members of the castErica Mena and Chrissy Lampkin. The scandal even reached social media with some pictures showing the women on the floor, basically wrestling each other with other members on the show trying to control the situation. The trigger of this conflict was a possible affair between Kim and the former boyfriend of Erica. This has negatively impacted the image of Kim, who is not used to these kind of accusations. She has tried to put it past her so that she could move on to the rest of her career
