Background

After growing up as a local of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Laura graduated from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the University of Minnesota Law School. She then went on to begin her legitimate law career in private practice.

Career

Laura specialized in legal matters in Minnesota and New York dealing with cases ranging from intellectual property litigation and First Amendment issues to Defamation and Media law. She then found a calling in public service and she changed from private practice to the United States Department of Justice, flourishing as a government investigator.

She filled in as a Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice during the Bush and Obama organizations. She specialized in the enforcement of voting rights for eligible citizens throughout the whole nation. She additionally filled in as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, indicting a heap offense offenses including drug dealing, armed offenses, domestic violence, child abuse, and rape.
