Lee Meriwether

Lee Meriwether is known an American actress, former model, and the winner of the 1955 Miss America beauty pageant. She most famous for her role as Betty Jones, Buddy Ebsen's secretary and daughter-in-law in the long-running 1970s crime drama television series, Barnaby Jones.

Career

The timeless beauty Lee Meriwether will always be remembered for her roles classic science fiction and fantasy films. In 1966, she was featured in Batman: The Movie (1966). She played both evil Catwoman and not-so-evil Kitka who had a romance with Bruce Wayne, the rich millionaire playboy and secret identity of the caped crusader, Batman.

She appeared in 30 episodes of Irwin Allen's The Time Tunnel. She played a scientist named Dr. Ann MacGregor. She mostly performed on the show with Whit Bissell (General Kirk). Their characters were both attempting to help two time travelers who were lost in time. In one famous episode of the called The Time Tunnel: The Kidnappers (1967), Ann was taken away from her normal setting and transported into the distant future to fend for herself.

She also appeared on the famous Star Trek episode called Star Trek: That Which Survives.
