Steve Martin

Steve Martin is known as an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He first started to gain fame in the 1960s as a writer for The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. He was also famous for his appearances as a frequent guest on The Tonight Show.

Stephen Glenn Martin was born on August 14, 1945 in Waco, Texas. He was born to Mary Lee and Glenn Vernon Martin. His father worked as a real estate salesman but his true passion was to dream as an aspiring actor.

Steve was raised in the cities of Inglewood and Garden Grove in California. He got a job at the Magic shop of Disney's Fantasyland in 1960. It was there where he learned magic, juggling, and how to create balloon animals for the children. He took classes in drama and English poetry when he attended Santa Ana College.

Career

The 1980s marked a big decade for Steve’s acting career. He starred in John Landis's Three Amigos! which was about three Americans getting into comedy hijinks as they traveled through Mexico. It was released in 1986 and co-written by himself and his good buddies, Martin Short and Chevy Chase. He had reached a point in his career where he could develop his own projects.
