Lenore Taylor biography and career

Lenore Taylor is an Australian journalist and serves as the political editor of The Guardian Australia and chief political correspondent for The Sydney Morning Herald and has covered politics for more than twenty years. Lenore Taylor was raised in Brisbane, Australia, and attended Brisbane Girls Grammar School. She studied politics at the University of Queensland and began her career in journalism in 1987.

A former London based correspondent, Lenore Taylor is a winner of the Paul Lyneham Award for excellence in press gallery journalism and a two time Walkley Award winner, Australia’s top prize for journalism. Lenore Taylor has also twice been named the Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery’s Journalist of the Year. Lenore Taylor is also the co-author, along with David Uren, of the book entitled Shitstorm: Inside Labor’s Darkest Days, which details the Rudd government’s response to the global economic crisis. Lenore Taylor is married to fellow journalist Paul Daley and is the mother of two children.
