Luciana Barroso is a former Argentinian air hostess who was born on July 31, 1976, in Salta, Argentina. Her mother worked as a housekeeper and her father worked as an insurance agent. She spent most of her early years being raised by her grandmother following her parents divorced shortly after her birth. Barroso always had a passion for arts and literature and at one point wanted to become an artist. She graduated from a local college with an Arts degree but gravitated towards careers involving flying. Barroso went on to become an air hostess before marrying her first husband, Arbello Barroso. They had a daughter named Alexia in 1999. They got a divorce in 2004 but the family still maintain a healthy relationship. Following the divorce, Barroso moved to Miami, Florida when Alexia was four-years-old. Barroso met actor Matt Damon in Miami when he was filming for the movie "Stuck on You". While working on the film in Miami, Damon met Lucianna who had taken up a job as a bartender.
The couple said they knew they were attracted to each other right away. Barroso and Damon were engaged in September of 2005 and tied the knot on December 9, 2005.
