According to her biography, Maree Cheatham was born in the city of Oklahoma in the state of Oklahoma. She was in the original cast members for Daytime serial known as Days of Our Lives. She was playing like Marie Horton. She was the first heroine and she had many traumatic relationships before she decides to go to a convent where she became a nun. When she left Days in the year 1973, she went to live in New York and in 1974; she was at the Soap opera called Search for Tomorrow.

She was playing as very vampy and sarcastic Stephanie Wilkins. She was the arch-enemy of Joanne Gardner. She was having the affair with the husband of Jo and she was replaced on this soap opera in 1984 by Louise Shaffer who is an Emmy Winning writer and actress. In the year 1987, she started to act regularly in General Hospital. She was playing as fun loving and wacky aunt of Charlene Simpson which was played by Lucy Coe. Afterwards, she had a major storyline that surrounded her sons. She stopped to act in the series but she came back in its spin-off called Port Charles and Charlene went to visit Lucy for the Thanksgiving. In the last two seasons of the series called Knots Landing, she played a role of scheming Mary Robeson, the blackmailer who became the victim murder mystery. She returned many times at Days where she was playing like Marie Horton.

But she was a doctor but not a nun anymore. She was there when Tom Horton died and to attend many of Hopes and Bo many remarriages and for the tribute of Frances Reid as Alice Horton died. She was in soap opera Passions of 2002 and was playing Mona’s role. She made guest appearances in other TV series including Desperate Housewives, Cold case, Monk, The West Wing, Scrubs, Judging Amy, Profiler, Dharma and Greg, The Nanny, Quantum Leap, Cagney and Lacey and Gunsmoke. She appeared in the movies like America’s Sweetheart, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Rumor Has It and she has notable cameo in the movie The Wedding Singer.

She got married to Bill Arvin first but divorced and got married to a new husband Robert Staron well known as Bobbo Staron who is a songwriter and singer. Her ex-husband is an actor who is well known for the role he had in the TV series 12 O’Clock High and in Alexander the Great. Maree Cheatham had been active in her career from 1960s.
