Mark Thomas Tremonti, popularly known as Mark Tremonti came to life on April 18, 1974 in Detroit, Michigan. He is a musician, guitarist, singer and song composer by profession. Mark is 6' 1" (1.85 m) tall and is known for his passion for music. He started playing guitar at the age of 11 and since then has not looked back in his musical career. Mark attended high school in ‘Lake Highland Preparatory School’ where he performed in various musical stage shows. He later on went on to do his graduation in Finance from ‘Clemson University’. His mother was diagnosed with a chronic disease when he was very young and later on died in 2002 and this had a deep impact on Mark. Mark is a founder of 3 musical groups, which is an achievement in itself. He started his musical career by forming a band named ‘Creed’ with 3 other members. Mark gave many memorable performances with the brand ‘Creed’ and the band became an instant hit amongst the critics and the audiences. The Band came up with their debut album ‘My Own Prison’ in the year 1997 which went on to become the major hit. Over 6 million copies were sold for the musical album and the individual songs from the album appeared in the top Charts in US at that time. The band came up with a subsequent album with the name ‘Human Clay’ which was again a major success at the box office and the band gained much popularity because of the album. Later on the Band released 3 more albums and all of them were much appreciated amongst the people and Band established itself as a popular band in US. Mark formed another band named ‘Alter Bridge’ with his friends. The band started with their first album ‘One Day Remains’ which slowly gained popularity amongst the audiences. The band produced further albums in the later years and was established as another successful brand in US. Tremonti later on in 2012 formed another brand named ‘Tremonti’ and did some popular work with this band too.
Mark has won multiple awards for his performances in musical industry. He won the prestigious ‘Grammy Award’ in 2001 for his song ‘With Arms Wide Open’. He was also named Guitarist of the year for 3 years by a magazine. He also won other awards like ‘Loudwire Music Award’ and ‘Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award’ in 2015 and 2014 respectively.
