Mary Bruce is the Congressional correspondent for ABC News and is based in Washington D.C. and her work can be seen on many television shows including: Good Morning America, World News Tonight, Nightline, 20/20, as well as the digital program, The Briefing Room. Mary Bruce grew up in Washington, D.C., and received a Bachelor’s Degree in history and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis. Mary Bruce has previously served as a White House producer covering Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign. She also worked for several years as a producer on the television show entitled This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
During her time at ABC, Mary Bruce has worked in many different positions including: Desk Assistant, General Assignment Producer, White House Producer, Multi-Platform Reporter, and now in her current role as Congressional Correspondent. She has also reported from overseas, covering the refugee crisis in Europe as well as numerous presidential trips, and traveled with President Obama as part of his media crew. Mary Bruce met her husband, investment banker Duane Moore in 2010, and the couple was married on September 8, 2013. In 25 April of 2018, Mary revealed on social media that she is eight-months pregnant and is expecting her baby in late May.
