Born on 4 august 1981 Meghan Markle is an American actress and model. Her parents are of different ethnicity. Her father is of Irish and Dutch descent while her mother is African American. Her father was a director and this influenced her childhood to a great extent as she spent her childhood days playing on the sets of Married...with children. She enrolled at Northwestern University after completing her High school. She was academically very good and so she got Double Major in Theater and International Relations. Meghan was actually the first person from her family to ever complete graduation.
After completing her graduation she started working for US embassy Buenos aires. She worked as a freelancer in Calligraphy for some time as well. She was discovered as an actress when a friend of hers gave her film to a director at a party. This led to her first role which was in the famous TV show General Hospital. This show is considered the longest running soap opera of all time. Meghan has done 3 movies as well namely Remember Me and Get Him to the Greek in 2010 and Horrible Bosses in 2011.
Later she did small roles in different TV shows such as Century City, Love, Inc., The War at Home, 90210, Knight Rider, The Apostles, CSI:NY, The League etc. She has also appeared in Deal or No Deal holding card no 24. , she later left that show as it was undermining her potential. After leaving Deal or No Deal, Meghan got a role in Fringe where she played a junior FBI agent Amy Jessup. She landed her major role however in July 2011 when she got a chance to play Rachel Zane in Suits. Suits is a TV series based on a fictional law firm in New York City. The main character of the series is Mike Ross played by Patrick J. Adams he works as a lawyer despite being a college dropout. This show is about Ross getting his way through and solving different cases without having a proper lawyer's degree. He is able to do this with common sense and higher intelligence. In this show, Meghan's character is an attractive lawyer who works with the main character of the show.
Meghan married her longtime boyfriend Trevor Engelson on 10 September 2011. They, however, ended the relationship when she divorced her husband in may 2013.
