Her mother is from Okinawa islands and she is of Japanese and Korean origin. She moved to multiple Air force bases in her childhood as her father was serving in the Air Force.
She spent most of her school days in the city of Bellevue located in Nebraska which is near Offutt, an air force setup in Omaha. She completed her high school education in Papillion-La Vista. She was a constant member of school plays and theater dramas. She then went to Roosevelt University to join Theatre Conservatory, which trains students in the fields of acting and musical theatre.
