She has won three Golden Mic awards, two Emmys and two Mark Twain awards for her excellent work. Pereira herself said from her office at CNN’s Hollywood bureau: “I get stopped on the street by people who say, ‘We’d get up at 3 in the morning to watch you on CNN, and we’re so glad you’re home. It’s like they get what it’s like to come home themselves,” she says. “It’s really moving.”

Unique Characteristics
Michaela’s race is a very interesting topic. While being adopted by a white couple, her biological mother is a White Canadian and her biological father is a Black Jamaican. Four of her adopted sisters are Native American. She said that her foster parents gave her a stable and comfortable place to stay in. She also once said that the diversity of races in her home led her to take up a career filled with interaction with different people.
