Mike Jerrick 

Michael "Mike" Jerrick was born on July 3, 1950. He is a former co-host of The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet. The show started airing 2007 but it lasted for just two years. The final broadcast of the show aired on June 12, 2009.

Life and career:

Mike Jerrick was raised in Kansas and he was the fifth youngest of six children in his family. Jerrick went to Chaplain Kapun School during his teenage years. He received his bachelor's degree in Journalism from The University of Kansas. The University of Kansas is a top college university in the United States. Getting a bachelor’s degree from that institution marked a high accomplishment for Jerrick. He would use his degree to start a career in the same state he grew up and graduated from college. He went to work for a local Kansas news station called WIBW-TV.

Jerrick's charisma took him to WNYW in New York as a producer and a host. His rural roots may have worked against an average man from his state but Jerrick had a personality that fit the fast moving culture of New York. He would stay in the city scene after he left New York in a move to San Francisco. The bay area new station KPIX-TV liked Jerrick’s journalistic style and recruited him into their ranks.

During the mid-80s, Jerrick co-hosted Alive and Well which aired on the USA cable Network. He also worked for HBO, before moving to the Sci-Fi Buzz. He later hosted a show called "What's News on America's Talking" which did not last long. Mike has not had much luck with the shows he’s been hosting because they have not been able to stay on air.

On Wednesday April 1, 2015, Jerrick announced that he would run for the position of the Mayor of Philadelphia. Some of the media speculated that Jerrick was trying to find a new career in politics because his hosting projects have been failing. Good Day Philadelphia broadcasted the news of his announcement to throw his name into the race. The show receiving multiple messages supporting Mike Jerrick. His career had not been going well but still had support from his fans. However, it was eventually revealed that Mike was just playing an April Fools' joke on the city of Philadelphia.

Personal life:

Mike’s first marriage was with Joy Jerrick, but their married life faced lots of difficulties and it wasn't possible to stay together. They had to deal with the same issues that the average couple does but with the extra pressure of Mike being a public figure. As a result of their constant disagreements, the couple decided to get a divorce. Both Mike and Joy moved on from the relationship and are living separately.

Details about their whole relationship have been kept scarce, even the dates of the wedding and the divorce are not available on public record. Mike and Joy did last long enough to give birth to two daughters named Jessica and Jill. Mike has a good relationship with his two daughters. Mike has also has two grandchildren, Teddie and Jack. Mike and Joy did a good job in raising their daughters while being divorced parents. They were able to keep any damaging details out of the public to protect their daughters.
